About the event

INTERNATIONAL ARTS FESTIVAL

The Karnolsky Summer Camp International Competition returns for its fourth edition, which will take place from 25 to 30 August 2025 in Sunny Beach, Bulgaria.

The competition, organized by the Karnolsky ART Center and under the patronage of Ms. Yanka Takeva – President of the Bulgarian Teachers’ Syndicate, will feature talented children and young people from over 12 countries who will compete in four categories: vocal, dance, instrumental and folklore.

Participants ages 4 to 45 can compete in a variety of genres, including classical ballet, contemporary dance, character dance, sports dance, acro dance, pop, jazz, rock, evergreen, children’s song and more. Cheerleaders, brass bands and choirs will also have their own categories.

The international jury of the Karnolsky Summer Camp will consist of Bulgarian and foreign art professionals, including vocal pedagogues, music producers, choreographers, and conductors.

Special guests of the Gala Concert will be popular Bulgarian performers, and on August 29, 2025 – the Gala Concert and Awards Ceremony will be held.

In addition to the competition, art workshops and individual masterclasses will be held to give participants the opportunity to further develop their skills.

The Karnolsky Summer Camp aims to provide a platform for young talents to showcase their abilities and enhance their artistic development.

Registration

The competition is open to young talents aged 4 to 35 in the following genres:

Dance

Dance: (soloists, chamber formations, large ensembles) in nominations classical ballet; contemporary dance (modern, jazz, musical); character dance; show dance (hip-hop, urban street, MTV, K-pop, Acro); sports dance (latino and quirky).

Vocal

(soloists, chamber groups, large ensembles) in pop; musical; jazz, evergreen (including children’s songs); rock.

Folklore

vocal, dance, instrumental (soloists, chamber formations, ensembles).

Majorettes

(baton and pompon).

Brass, symphonic, percussion orchestras

children’s, youth’s and adult’s.

Choirs

children’s, youth’s and adult’s (min. 12 performers).

Age groups

I- st age group – up to 7 years old
II- nd age group – from 8 to 10 years old
III- th age group – from 11 to 13 years old
IV- th age group – from 14 to 18 years old
V age group – 19 to 35 years (inclusive)

ORCHESTRAS AND CHOIRS:

I – st age group – up to 14 years old
II-nd age group – up to 20 years old
III-rd age group – over 21 years old

DEADLINE FOR ENROLMENT – 28.05.2025

Entries after this date will only be accepted at the discretion of the organisers.

THE REGISTRATION for participation in the festival MUST INCLUDE:

Fully completed application form – registration

The organizers reserve the right to suspend registration in a given group even before this date if the capacity is full.

Presence – the musical accompaniment for each performance must be uploaded to the platform by 31.07.2025.
No changes will be made during the competition!!!!!
If there are additional voices on the recording with the soloists, they are not allowed to repeat the main melody.
Online participation – a video for each performance must be uploaded to the platform by 31.07.2025.
The members of the Jury and the organizers will make the decision which participants and with which one of their performance will participate in the GALA concert!!!

The instrumentals of the performances must be named in the following way:

Registration rules for participation

Duration of performances:

3:20 minutes for vocal soloists and cam.formations (pop-vocal and folklore)
3:40 minutes for dance soloists and cam.formations (dance, cheerleading and folklore)

*In case of the performances, exceed the up-mentioned duration, the Jury will cease the performance!

Works to be performed in min. 2 voices.
The complexity and precision of the polyphony will be reflected in the jury’s evaluation.

Prices

Hotel Poseidon* rates:

5 nights / 6 days

275 € FOR CHILDREN / under 16 years old* /

295 € FOR ADULTS

*Children who have reached the age of 16 before the festival /until 24.08.2009/ pay as adults.

THE ACCOMMODATION FEE IS FOR ONE PERSON AND INCLUDES THE FOLLOWING:

Accommodation* In rooms with 2, 3, 4 beds; in family rooms a total of 5 beds (two rooms connected).
Full board 3 times a day (breakfast, lunch, dinner) in the hotel.
All rooms have standard beds, wardrobe, air conditioning, refrigerator, balcony.
Use of an indoor swimming pool and sun loungers. Animation – entertainment and sports programs, discos.

* Accompanying persons who are not accommodated through us pay an additional festival pass of 55 Euro per person, which provides access to the entire competition program.

EXTRA PAYMENTS

For the Poseidon Hotel* :

Extra night: 26 Euro per child, 42 Еuro per adult per day;
Single room surcharge per day: 23 Euro per room per day;
Double room surcharge per day: 20 Euro per room per day;
Groups of more than 20 people: the 21st person / leader / will be accommodated free of charge for the duration of the festival in a double room.

*Deposit of 20 Euro for possible damages is left at the hotel reception and returned upon check-out and no damages.

Participation fee for one performance:

Soloist – 65 Euro per person.
Duet – 80 Euro; Trio – 95 Euro
Formations /4 – 7 persons/ – 105 Euro per formation.
Formations /8 – 14 persons/ – 150 Euro per formation.
Formations /15 – 20 persons/ – 205 Euro per formation
Formations more than 20 persons – 220 Euro per formation.

For second performance:

Solo – 35 Euro per person.
Duet – 36 Euro; Trio – 40 Euro
Formations /4 – 7 persons/ – 50 Euro per formation.
Formations /8 – 14 persons/ – 80 Euro per formation.
Formations /15 – 20 persons/ -100 Euro per formation.
Formations more than 20 persons – 110 Euro per formation

Other FEES

Individual Master Classes – 65 € for a lesson (60 min.)
Art laboratories (vocal and dance) – 20 € per person *discount 10% for participation for 2 days.

The remaining 50% of the amount must be paid by 28.06.2025!

Participation fees paid after 28.06.2025 are non-refundable.

26-27 August 2025 – Competition – at the POSEIDON 4* Hotel in Sunny Beach

28 August 2025 – Artistic laboratories and individual masterclasses – at the POSEIDON 4* Hotel in Sunny Beach

29 August 2025 – Gala concert and award ceremony

30 August 2025 – Artistic laboratories and departure

The concert program will be published by 6 August 2025.

Festival rules

The organizer reserves the right to document, broadcast, film and distributes the material in any way without payment of rights or remuneration.
Group leaders are responsible for accidents and injuries to performers on stage.
The costs of travel, subsistence and accommodation of the bands and accompanying persons shall be borne by the participants.
Costs related to the prize fund, technical service, stage management and provision of medical assistance shall be borne by the organizers.
Group chaperones are responsible for the behavior of the performers from their groups during the event.
Participants are responsible for their costumes, props, instruments and personal belongings.
Choreographies and instruments must be submitted in advance via our online registration platform. You are encouraged to bring a backup copy of your music on a memory stick.
